What does Larva mean? LARVA refers to one type of the centuries-old Venetian masks that have been used in the past as a device to hide the wearer’s identity and social status, and that are worn today at the annual Carnival of Venice. LARVA, which comes from the Latin meaning “mask” or “ghost”, allowed the wearer to eat, drink and speak without having to remove the mask, and therefore making it ideal for socializing and dancing.
What does LARVA consist of? We have searched and researched the best material available to make the perfect acetate sunglasses; and the results were the famous Italian company MAXIKELLY, that provides the sheets of acetate for the most famous high-end brands. Additionally, we wanted the skeleton of the frame to be as tough as it can get, so we were lead to use high-quality German-made metal structures on all our frames.
What about the designs? You will be the judge of that, but we are confident that all our frames are very fashionable and trend-setting and of course high-end products with affordable price tags.
Future projects? We are always pushing the boundaries for exquisite designs and some future collaborations will be done with famous stores and celebrities.
